You, 2017

You is a collection of personal memories expressed through the act of Palimpsest. An assemblage of images representing people, places and conversations are layered against the backdrop of a white wall (which acts as a large photo album), revealing aspects of intimacy and isolation.
These memories are revisited through sketches comprising scribbles, scrawls, stain marks, rips and tears as a form of mark-making / inscription. They are deliberate, fresh markings and incisions that serve to disturb and unravel aspects of our past that time may have eroded.
