Letters I Never Sent, 2016
Paper sculptures: paper pulp, ink, synthetic polymer paint, thread and adhesive. Dimensions variable (14.5 x 10 cm; 17.5 x 10.5 cm, 14.5 x 11 cm)
Letters I Never Sent examines the written word as a lost form of communication - especially between loved ones. Conversations contained within the pages that were eventually lost through time, distance or even mortality.
The sculptures are slightly yellowed as the paper used was pulped from old letters I had accumulated over time. In their new form, I feel that the conversations have evolved and are now complete.
